About Richard Horn

Richard Horn is Managing Director of Ridger Capital, a Los Angeles-based boutique investment banking firm focused on capital placement, structured finance, M&A advisory, and strategic transactions across multiple sectors. He is a business executive with more than three decades of experience specializing in structured finance, debt placement, financial underwriting, commercial real estate, and real estate investment sales throughout the United States.

Richard leads financial underwriting and transaction evaluation for Ridger Capital, where he supports the firm’s analysis of client opportunities, capital structures, real estate transactions, and strategic mandates. He is also a key executive of Ridger Group, the firm’s commercial real estate brokerage and advisory platform, where he leads real estate transaction execution and advisory engagements. His background allows him to assess transaction feasibility, evaluate risk, structure financing alternatives, and support execution from initial review through closing.

With more than two decades of experience as an owner and builder of industrial properties, Richard brings direct operating and development expertise to complex real estate and finance transactions. His development experience includes land acquisition, design, entitlement, construction, leasing, and the sale of completed projects.

Since 2007, Richard has worked in finance and commercial real estate brokerage, advising clients and municipalities on industrial, redevelopment, and mixed-use projects. He has demonstrated particular strength in aggressive marketing, creative deal-making, and positioning historically significant or traditionally challenging assets for acquisition, financing, or sale.

Prior to his finance, brokerage, and development work, Richard owned a California steel company specializing in custom parts for the aerospace and construction industries. This operating background gives him a practical understanding of manufacturing, industrial operations, project execution, and business ownership.

Richard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate and Economics from California State University, Long Beach. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
