About Tim Turner
Biography
Tim Turner is Managing Director of Ridger Capital, a California-based boutique investment banking firm focused on capital placement, structured finance, M&A advisory, and strategic transactions across multiple sectors. He is a veteran investment banker and corporate attorney with extensive experience advising companies, owners, investors, and strategic counterparties on complex corporate finance and transaction matters.
Tim serves as a registered representative with GT Securities, Inc., a licensed broker-dealer and member FINRA/SIPC. In this role, he supports capital markets, investment banking, and strategic advisory transactions conducted through the appropriate broker-dealer platform.
Tim was employed previously as an investment banker for Lehman Brothers in New York, McDonald & Co (KeyBank) in Chicago, and Trinity Capital in Los Angeles. Tim has served as lead banker on capital raises and M&A transactions valued at over $4B. He has industry specialized experience in Food & Agribusiness, Life Sciences, and Energy.
Turner Law Office serves a limited number of primarily international clientele with matters ranging from general corporate issues to cross-border transactions and complex situations. From 2010 to 2025 he served as U.S. counsel for a global agribusiness company based in France. Tim began his career as an attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC.
With a professional background spanning investment banking, corporate law, agribusiness, and cross-border transactions, Tim brings a senior-level legal and financial perspective to client mandates. His experience allows him to evaluate transaction structure, identify legal and business risks, coordinate counterparties, and help guide complex matters from strategy through execution.
Tim has an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University and a JD from the University of Illinois Chicago Law School. He is a FINRA registered representative with Series 79 and 63 licenses and is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
